We finally have a place to call home and a little girl who is now 6

As summer came to an end we had a lot of exciting things happen in this household!!
A big day in the Goddard household was July 24,2015!! Our baby turned 6 and we got the keys to our beautiful new home..

We had a house built in Parker which is 45 minutes south of where we were living before. It was a lot  of fun for us all to watch the house being built from the ground up. We found a wonderful neighborhood with kids everywhere which is exactly what we had imagined it to be.

Ashlee turned 6 and had her birthday at the aquarium with a few of her little friends. She's completely obsessed with mermaids so this was right up her alley as they have mermaids swimming in the tanks.
She would still like to be a mermaid when she grows up, which makes mommy happy that her little imagination is still in full swing. She's also still very much in love with Elsa and all the other Disney princesses.

She started first grade this year which has been a big adjustment for her going to school full day. She  also started at a new school since she moved and struggled just a bit missing her friends. She's doing well now and loves school very much. She's very busy outside of school in girl scouts, gymnastics and swimming of course.

Ray had a big first as well as she started pre school back in August. Such a big change from the little girl who would hang on my leg and scream for me not to leave her anywhere, to this big girl who  wishes she could go to school everyday.

I found a little home school pre-school which is perfect for her. She only has 4 other kids in her class and so they get lots of attention :)
She brings home the amazing things home from this school.
Ray is still doing gymnastics and loves it very much!! Anywhere we go she has to showoff her cartwheel or handstand. The teacher had asked Jake last week "she must watch a lot of gymnastics shows on tv" oh yes she sure does!! She's obsessed with Mckenna and now Gabby Douglas.
Reagan is one of the most passionate 3 year olds I've ever met, she truly gives everything 100%

She loves her barbies and her American girl doll Julie who was passed down to her from her cousin.

We went on a kick a#% camping trip trip over the summer with our friends from Phoenix. That was truly one of the best trips with some good company.
We rode the silverton train which was something I did when I was little. It was neat to see it as an adult as I appreciated the beautiful scenery. Our kids were as good as any 3 and 5 year old could be on a 3 hour train ride.

We finally booked our family vacation in January, whoo hoo!! we're going on a cruise for the  very first time and couldn't be more excited.

We have all of our ski passes bought for the season and hoping we can use them often :)
The girls are both excited to hit the slopes this winter!!

I couldn't be more proud of my hubby Jake!! He hosted his first 5K run for his non profit he is the co founder for, My Mind Wars. It's a non profit to raise money for suicide awareness, it's in honor of his brother Josh who took his own life in November of 2006.

I don't like to end these on a sad note but I feel I can't forget to add someone who was a  very important part of our family was taken to the rainbow bridge a few months back. Our lab Sadie went to heaven and left huge holes in all of our hearts. The kids took this very hard and still to this day pray for her everynight that she is happy and playing with all the other dogs and gets to eat whenever she wants
God bless you Sadie Sue we still miss you very much!!

We are 3 going on 10!!!

My baby turned 3 in December.....wow time does fly, it seems like yesterday I was almost 42 weeks pregnant waiting ever so patiently for baby G to arrive. Now she's here and already over 3 years old.
Reagan AKA cha-cha, Ray Ray, and bear bear has always been our more troubled child to put it nicely :0 She gave us a run for our money the day that she was born.
The great thing about Ray is she always keeps us on our feet, and we never know what to expect day to day!! She keeps life interesting
She's the most independent little thing I know, she dresses herself, puts her own shoes on, makes her bed and gets herself in her car seat and buckles herself right in. Ash on the other hand still would prefer help  with all of that, bless her little heart

Reagan is still at home with me, she attends a mom's day out program at the church every Friday for a few hours. She doesn't like any minute of it, and would rather be at home with her sister  and I. All they do is crafts and reading, but apparently home is a better place for her.

Her favorite food is bean burritos and she doesn't like fruit or veggies which makes meal planning interesting....mama's got to be creative!!!

She still does her weekly swim lessons and is doing really well. She's got the floating on her back down finally....
She also takes Gymnastics with one of her little buddies Ava, she absolutely loves it and asks everyday when is Gymnastics??
We've been to the mountains a few times this winter and we're trying to get her to enjoy skiing but at this point one run down the bunny slope is good for her. She would rather sit in the truck and watch a movie. She'll come around, she's one to do things when she's good and ready :)

She's in love with the movie "The Wizard of Oz" and watches it anytime she gets a chance. She dresses up as Dorthy on a daily basis and skips around the house. Anytime there is any sort of path, she thinks it's her yellow brick road. Best part of all at night I have to sing the theme song to the movie, not a normal goodnight lullaby :) crazy kid
Reagan is finally making little friends of her own and it makes her so happy...best part of it one of her best little buds has a big sister in Ashlee's class. I just can't get over how cute they all are together.

Life is crazy busy and we're ready for winter to over and warm weather to come :) We plan on doing lots of camping and hiking this summer in beautiful Colorado.

We turned 5 and started Kindergarten

My baby turned 5 in July and I had to make her birthday as special as I possibly could. I felt guilty for not having a 3rd birthday and always said I would make it up for her 4th. Well little did I know that we would be moving to Denver a few days before she turned 4, so once again no birthday party for little Ash.

I had 2 party's for her....the first one was a special appearance from Queen Elsa. She had a few of her little girlfriends over and they got to spend 45 minutes with the Queen. I've never seen such happy little girls :) Ray had to keep touching her, I still don't think she could believe it.
Ash still talks about Elsa coming to her house!!

Her second party was for all of her friends and we went to a gymnastics' place for an open gym. She just loved having her little friends there to play with.
Her favorite gift of all times was her American Girl doll from her Aunt Gay!! She adores this doll so very much.

We had an awesome summer, we really enjoyed being outside....being from AZ our summers were spent indoors :(

We attended two weddings this summer, one of which was my  brothers!!
His wife is from a little town in Michigan called Holland. What a beautiful place!!
That's where they had the wedding, so we got to spend a week there, meeting her family and just taking a little vacation :)

The wedding was beautiful and I got the honor to be one of Brooke's bridesmaids!! I had a great time being included in all the festivities and meeting her friends.

I absolutely love my new sis in law.....she's so good for my bro and makes him so happy which makes me happy :) Our entire family is so happy she's now a part of our family.
Our commute home definitely made the books for one of the worst travel days in Goddard History!! I won't go into details but I should've just listened to my hubby when he said, there is  a pretty big storm coming so I just say we go get a hotel room here in Chicago for the night and  try to get out in the morning.
We had been away for almost a week so I said No way dude!!!! Lets get home now!!!
Well we didn't get home until the following evening after sitting in an airport and a hotel for 2days with no luggage :( so not fun!!

Our second wedding was my cousins wedding in California.
Our little girls were the flower girls, and the cutest flower girls I've ever seen I might add :) They practiced their big role for months and it paid off because they were great.

My aunt who is a wedding coordinator joked and asked if she could borrow them for all her weddings.
I'm a proud mama!!!

The biggest moment for our summer was our baby started Kindergarten....We got a lucky seat at a phenomenal charter school here in Broomfield.

She's in the PM kinder which is nice so I still have her in the mornings and since we're all pretty lazy in the mornings it works great :)
So far she really enjoys school, she doesn't share much about it but she's happy everytime I pick her up, so I'm not complaining.
It used to annoy me so much when my parents always hounded me about my day at school, so I figure when she's got something to say, she'll say it.
I thought Ray would have a hard time with her sissy being at school, but I think she really enjoys coming home and playing with all of Ashlee's things :) We keep that our little secret hehe
Ray just enjoys the process of taking and picking her sister up from school, she's a little social butterfly and loves to say Hi to all the kiddo's. The sad part is she knows their names better than I do.

The kids are both still swimming twice a week and doing very well.
Ashlee completed her float test a few months ago and just recently moved up a level. She's doing so well....she swims the length of the pool going from her back to her tummy. She's now learning to freestyle across the pool.

Reagan is doing very good too, she's got her back float down and is now doing it independently. Her next step will be the float test :)
With a lot of hard thinking Jake and I decided to put the girls in an 8 week session of ski lessons. We bought season passes this year and really want to take advantage of the mountains and the awesome skiing. We figured the only way to do that is to get their little butts comfortable in skis.
I feel like we're doing this for our own selfish reasons, but hey they're really enjoying themselves so I don't feel so bad.

Jake and I have been skiing for 11 years together and it's so neat to have our little girls joining us, we just hope they like it as much as we do.
As for me, just hoping I can do this 1/2 marathon in October :/ I haven't done much training running, but I go to the gym and work out on a regular basis. We'll see how it goes, I plan on doing a lot more running in the next few weeks. This starting school thing has really made my life even more chaotic :)

Jake is really busy planning Spare Life's conference next fall, and he's been working the friendly skies quite often, trying to save save save for a house :)
We really enjoyed our first full summer here in Colorado and spent a lot of time outdoors. We are very much looking forward to fall as it is my favorite season for sure!!!

We are truly blessed with the most adorable wonderful little girls, they bring so much happiness to us!! We love you so much little Goddard girls

Life doesn't get much better!!!

My life isn't perfect by any means but it's darn close to it!! I'm blessed with the two most precious girls one mom could ever ask for, and might I add that my hubby is pretty good too :)

Life is so busy and each day goes by way too fast!

Reagan Lynn is 2 1/2 going on 10. This little girl is so vibrant, sassy and full of love!! As everyone has a "troubled" child, I guess this would be her :) She's been able to carry on a full conversation at 2 years old, she can count to 20 and knows her ABC's. She's so smart, it's almost scary! and yes everyone can think that their child is the smartest, because I sure do.
I think she's decided that napping is for the birds :(
We're on day 3 of her "playing" in her crib and trying to climb out. I don't quite understand how a child who was such a great napper can all of a sudden stop. This is Ray Ray we're talking about so I guess anything is possible.
I'm praying this is just a phase and she'll go back to the awesome napper she once was.  I can't even blame it on teething, because she's got all the teeth she's supposed to have at this point.

In the past few months Ray got her first haircut and made her first trip to the dentist. She was a trooper for it all.

Besides her weekly music class, this poor kid gets drug around to all of her sisters functions. I keep telling her , that her day will come :0

Now for our little bug! She's going to be 5 in a few months, YES 5....so crazy!! She'll be starting Kindergarten this fall. "sniff sniff"
She had her last day of preschool today and it was a very emotional day for us....she had a wonderful teacher and such a great group of kids in her class. Unfortunately all the kids are going to different schools, but we will stay in contact with lots of play dates throughout the summer.

She got into one of the best charter schools in Colorado, mommy is so happy!! They had over 1000 applications submitted, and only 26 seats available....and our little bug got a spot.

I've been to a few play dates with her class and we've already met some really nice families that will be in her class.
Ash just finished her first soccer season and did really well. At this age it's just about having fun, and thats exactly what she did. She wants to do another season, so she'll start back up in August.

She just completed her everyday for 2 weeks safety swim lessons, and mastered that!! All I care about is her safety in the water and that's why I put her in these lessons. She still goes once a week now for basic lessons.

Ashlee is still the same sweet Ashlee, and that makes me so happy. She loves her friends but is such a little family girl.

She had her first sleep over on 5/16 with her friend Charlie, they live down the street from us. I was expecting a call in the middle of the  night that she wanted to come home, but she enjoyed every minute she was there. My baby is getting too big :(

As for Jake, he has launched his non profit spare life, in memory of his brother Josh. He has worked his A** off to get this thing off the ground and has a great amount of support from his family and friends.

My bro "uncle Matt" came back from his deployment a few months ago and we were so excited that him and Brooke came to stay with us for a few days. The girls absolutely  adore him and enjoy every second they can spend with him.

Our summer is so busy, I'm not sure how we're going to even do it.
My bro is getting married to my wonderful soon to be sis in law :) We will be spending a week in Holland Michigan where she is from and where they're getting married.

My baby turns 5, so yes there will be a big party for that!!
My cousin is getting married in August and my girls are the flower girls in her wedding!!! and of course
we will be fitting in a few camping trips in here and there :)

All is good with the Goddard fam!!!! we truly couldn't ask for anything more!!!
